Hey, everybody, it's a fare war to California!

American Airlines has struck back at Virgin America's fare sales to Los Angeles and San Francisco. American is offering fares of $49.50 each way between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and San Francisco or Los Angeles. All told, it's $120.40, including taxes and fees.
