Kansai Electric Power Co. said today July 11 that Japan will reactivate another idle nuclear reactor at the Oi plant in Fukui Prefecture, western Japan on July 18. A sustained nuclear fission chain reaction, known as criticality, is expected to occur at the No. 4 unit on the morning of July 19, restart power transmission on July 21 and resume full-capacity operations by July 25, the utility said.
