Airlines feeding frenzy on fees

An excellent discussion by Michelle Leder at Footnoted.org about how airlines are now depending upon hefty fees to make up for their low ticket prices. The ultimate question is how long can they continue before walking by foot makes more sense? This is the issue I raised in my recent Delta Airlines experience.
