accountEasily half the people I've recommended on LinkedIn have never thanked me. Either I must write heinous recommendations, or I've grossly overestimated their value. The fact that LinkedIn enables its users to request recommendations at the click of a mouse has probably devalued them. But still, would it hurt to show this old fogey some merci?
