Asian Shares End Mostly Up; Auto Stocks Higher In HK, China

SINGAPORE (Dow Jones)--Asian shares ended mostly higher Tuesday with automobile stocks in China and Hong Kong gaining on strong earnings forecasts and sales.

The Shanghai Composite rose 1.4% to 2936.19 and the Shenzhen Composite rose 1.5% to 1013.28, while in Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index gained 0.8% to 21467.36.
