DEFENSE INDUSTRY
Only a few years ago, U.S. politicians talked about a "peace dividend" as the Cold War wound down. Instead, the Pentagon's proposed $515 billion budget for defense spending in 2009 is the highest since World War II, adjusted for inflation. Or should the defense industry be gearing up for a more traditional confrontation?
