Time for Crisis Leadership -- After the Crisis

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, a number of public officials – the president, governors, mayors, cabinet members, and others – demonstrated exceptional and even inspiring leadership. But why does it take a crisis to bring out the best in our leaders? Why don’t leaders tackle the non-crisis problems with the same energy, spirit, and imagination?
