Ethanol is one of the most popular biofuel alternatives to gasoline. When oil prices rise, so does talk of this as a viable alternative energy. Conversely when oil prices plummet, the discourse begins to question whether or not the federal government will (or even should) continue to support ethanol with subsidies or other means.
