France, Germany, UK make push for 30% EU emissions cut

EU's three largest member countries--France, Germany and the UK--launched a joint push July 15 to persuade the EU as a whole to adopt a target to cut its greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2020, based on a 1990 baseline, the UK department of energy and climate change said.
