HYPER LOCAL
Hyper-local sites, also referred to as local-local or microsites, focus on a very narrow geographical area-- a suburb, a small town or a perhaps a rural county-- that is not currently well-served by existing media outlets. Patch.com, owned by AOL, is one of the leading hyper-local sites. Other noteworthy examples are Everyblock.com and Outside.in. This topic covers that latest trends in hyper-local Web sites.
