Is Barclays getting holistic?

Despite today’s announcement of the shedding of 3,700 jobs at Barclays as part of a strategic review, it’s very refreshing to hear in CEO Antony Jenkins’ rhetoric that Barclays is attempting to shift to a more long term perspective on how the business is managed, including a deliberate shift towards a more service orientated culture.
