In Search of Innovation

Ideas don't just grow on trees - managers need to actively manage ideas and innovation. This WSJ article looks at how some companies are donig just that - but it also misses the boat on a key aspect of idea management, setting up systems that tap into the collective wisdom of employees in all workgroups (see my comment to the article on the Comments page).
