All that being said, recently, I have begun building a position in Pinnacle Airlines (PNCL) which is not a traditional airline and has a compelling valuation. Pinnacle Airlines currently trades at a less than 25% of tangible book value and less than 2X normalized free cash flow. At current prices the shares presents an attractive risk reward proposition for a growing airline that has significantly more stable earnings than a traditional airline.
