Since 2007 I have been helping to build JD Supra, an innovative new media company that helps law firms increase their professional visibility via social media and other online channels. JDSupra.com distributes law firm content (updates, articles, client alerts, and other publications) to targeted audiences around the web, including in an one-of-a-kind relationship with LinkedIn, via the 'Legal Updates' InApp.

My background is editorial/writing (I have a graduate degree in Creative Writing; I'm a published writer and poet). I've always been driven by a personal and professional interest at the intersection of technology and media. The son of an old-world print journalist, I inherited the gene that makes me care about delivering content to audience. That is my passion.

I taught myself to program (Pascal, Cobol, Fortran, Basic, etc.) in the early 80s -- and I spent time on the old dial-up BBS platforms. I was a very early employee at Yahoo!, where I built and managed the company's first team of editors and writers.

Starting with early childhood memories of visiting my dad in an ink-stained newsroom, through my time in the mid-90s at Yahoo!, to what I am building today ... I have been enormously lucky to witness firsthand a fundamental shift in the way the world shares and communicates information.

Fortunate to be building products and platforms in that mix.
