ANN S. BOLAND

Ann is co-founder and President of the Boland Group (TBG), an independent boutique executive search firm specializing in performance-based retained searches for clients in energy sensitive markets, information intensive industries, with a special focus on Mission Critical recruitment.

Prior to starting her own search firm, Ann served as Chief Admin Officer and head of HR of a start-up in the high tech and eLearning space. (She was attracted by the big bucks and worthless stock options, during the dot com boom.)

Previously, as an Executive Director with one of the top five global retained executive search firms, Ann was a member of both the Global IT and Global Healthcare practices, and co-founded the firm’s Global Professional Services practice.

Ann’s first experience with executive search came about when she herself was “headhunted” as the first female partner to be directly admitted to the management consulting practice of a “big five” firm. At the time she was CIO of a valued client, whom she had joined after 13 years at IBM. With IBM, Ann held positions in sales, technical support, product management, and co-founded two management consulting practices for IBM Consulting Group.

Ann has found her calling in executive search, and enjoys helping others find theirs. She has focused exclusively in retained executive search since 1997: “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” (Confucius)
