The US Dollar is certainly in danger of devaluation. Will it remain the Worlds Reserve monetary currency? I feel we are in danger of our dollar having the same fate as the British Sterling. The Sterling was the currency of choice until WWII. Wiil the world continue buy oil with US Dollars? Will there be a conglomeration of currencies that replace the US Dollar as the worlds reserve currency? Many countires are already lessening their positions with the dollar. England never really recovered from the drop of the Sterling. We could face severe economic times in our country is the US Dollar ends up like the Sterling. Inflation and Interest rates would soar. Severe action is required now, but it does not seem either political party and the American people want to make the cuts necessary to avoid this all to real risk to our nation.
