David Kiley is senior correspondent in BusinessWeek's Detroit bureau. Previously, he was marketing editor. Prior to this, he was Detroit bureau chief for USA Today. Kiley has held editor and reporter posts at Adweek, Brandweek, and CNN. He has also worked in the advertising industry. Kiley is the author of "Getting The Bugs Out: The Rise, Fall and Comeback of Volkswagen in America," winner of the Ken Purdy Award for Excellence in Automotive Industry Journalism in 2001, and "Driven: Inside BMW, The Most Admired Car Company in the World." He was the 2005-2006 president of the International Motor Press Association.
