HUGH CUMMING

Hugh Cumming is an experienced technology professional with over 18 years of executive management success in leading global IT and software development teams in the Financial Services, Wireless and BPO industries. Hugh is currently the Chief Information Officer at the Cooperators, one of Canada's largest Insurance companies. Previously he was the CIO for ADP Canada, a Fortune 500 company in the financial services sector, responsible for the development and operations of ADP’s market leading HR and payroll processing solutions. Before taking on his role at ADP, Hugh lead the product development team at Webhelp where he oversaw the development of Webhelp’s Arena VoIP platform and successfully saw the company through an acquisition in October of 2003 to a leading India BPO firm. Hugh was the Senior Vice-President, Product Development and co-CTO for 724 Solutions, a public wireless infrastructure company focusing on the financial services industry, where he was responsible for all aspects of worldwide development, support and product management. Prior to joining 724 Solutions, Hugh was one of the founders and the Chief Technology Officer for Webhelp.com where he oversaw the development of Webhelp's "Zero Latency" Web Application Event Framework. Previously as the CIO for SITEL Europe, he was responsible for defining the technology strategy for the company's global business units. His career has also included the roles of VP of Technology for SITEL Global Business in the Netherlands, VP of Technology for SITEL Canada, VP for MIS Canadian Telephone Corp., President and Founder of Computer Engineering Co., Software Engineer for IBM Canada, Ltd., and Software Developer for Ecolab Ltd. Hugh holds a degree from the University of Toronto in Engineering.
