JORGE MARTINEZ

I've been a "Creative" all my life. As a kid, I used to sketch often. I'd draw characters and create things with my hands as well. I had hopes to one day work for Industrial Light & Magic as a special effects artist. As fate would have it, ILM never came about. Instead, my professional career would get its start in print then quickly transition on to the web and for the past twelve years, that's where my focus has been. Today, I am an Art Director at R/GA, a Digital Advertising Agency located in New York City.

In twelve years, I've lived through a number of valuable experiences and met many influential people. As a result, the next phase in my life is taking form. (More on that coming soon.)

Today, I still have a personal sketch book. It comes out the second I leave my day job. Only these days it's filled with my own personal ideas for online projects, product schematics and domain names. I still admire George Lucas, but my new influencers are Mark Zuckerberg and Sergey Brin among many others.
