JOTHAM S. STEIN

Jotham Stein is an experienced attorney who has represented individuals and companies in a wide variety of business, employment and contract negotiations. Mr. Stein's experience extends to deals of all sizes, from transactions valued at less than one hundred thousand dollars to those valued at more than one hundred million dollars. Mr. Stein has served as part-time General Counsel of a high-technology Silicon Valley company. In addition, Mr. Stein recently authored Executive Employment Law: Protecting Executives, Entrepreneurs and Employees (Oxford University Press).

Also a litigator, Mr. Stein has represented clients in state and federal courts, before state and federal agencies and in arbitration. Mr. Stein has been counsel in complex multi-million dollar litigation matters and in smaller individual and business cases.

Mr. Stein is admitted to practice in California, Illinois, New York, and the District of Columbia, as well as in several United States District Courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. He is a member of the Palo Alto Area Bar Association, Santa Clara County Bar Association, San Mateo County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and Kane County Bar Association.

Outside of work, Mr. Stein is an avid traveler. He has traveled to more than sixty countries on six continents. He has also competed in national athletic events. In 1986, he placed sixteenth in the United States Luge (sledding) Championships, and, in 1988, Mr. Stein rowed in the United States Olympic Trials. Currently, Mr. Stein plays soccer in indoor and outdoor adult soccer leagues.
