<description><![CDATA[Matteo Fabiano is the head of FireMatter, the market development services firm that helps tech companies market their products and acquire new customers. Matteo is an international executive with 15 years of management experience in Software, Online Media and Web Technology and founded FireMatter in 2006.
From early 2007 until the end of 2008 Matteo took on a post as COO at Your Truman Show, Inc. Matteo managed product marketing, planning and operations. Under his leadership the company launched three online video products in 15 months, including TagLift, an innovative technology for video metadata validation and ad matching. In 2006, As Head of Marketing and Business Development for P2P collaboration software maker Collanos, Matteo led the company’s US market entry. Previously at Centrata, a KPCB portfolio company, he managed software development and delivery teams for clients such as British Petroleum and DHL.
Based in Europe from 1997 to 2004, Matteo held international service management roles at Hewlett-Packard, Procter & Gamble and IBM. While at HP, he turned around the multi-million dollar business serving P&G global web infrastructure, ending a 3-year loss-making record. At P&G, he launched the company’s eCommerce operations team in Europe, covering 40 countries. Prior to that, as Project Manager in IBM Global Services, Matteo managed a portfolio of software deployment, infrastructure and re-engineering projects in the Southern European region. Before being recruited by IBM, Matteo was platoon commander and training officer in the Italian Air Force.
Matteo is board member of BAIA, Business Association Italy America and volunteers his management skills to the Taproot Foundation, “the non-profit marketing agency”.
Matteo has lived and worked in Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and the USA and holds a Laurea degree (MS) in Engineering from Milan Politecnico and an MBA from IMD.]]></description>
