I am an innovative business executive, architect, visionary and investor with more than 20 years of proven success executive management in a variety of global markets and industries.
I have experiences in both private and publicly traded companies in the media, entertainment, consumer electronics industries.
My latest endeavor is BoardPower – an advisory firm that serves as the external thinking partner for CEOs and other executives. BoardPower counsels CEOs by exploring sensitive issues in a confidential setting, asking questions in a spirit of curiosity and openness and providing practical suggestions based on real-world and practical CEO experience.
My career highlights include:
Commodore International – successfully merged 2 Dutch companies in a cross-border re-organization, and merged into a OTC listed company, increased market share by 100%, successfully raised $25 million in capital and built out corporate infrastructure and business strategies .
KeyMedia Management – built a portfolio of media properties including Powerstorm, Imperial, Entertainment Industries, SATXS. Trendies Magazine, a.o; spearheaded service quality and employee productivity initiatives, and provided turnaround management services for several distressed companies.
Imecom NV – provided strategic advice for international expansion and marketing plans for a variety of media and entertainment clients; and closed contracts worth more than $85 million with companies including Keystone, HMG, BMG, Pearson, Nordisk, Hasbro, a.o.
Philips Media – owned $1 billion multimedia platform as SVP of Philips Media Central Europe; created innovative CDI and interactive software which was supported by a $500 million marketing budget; consolidated production assets, financing, marketing and distribution for several joint ventures.
During my career, I have lived in several countries, I currently live and work in the United States and the Netherlands, and am fluent in English, Dutch and German.
