<description><![CDATA[Neil Gordon is Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Early Warning, a nanotechnology spin-off company from NASA’s Ames Research Center. He is responsible for leading the business and technical direction of the world’s first pathogen sensor that automatically samples fluids and measures the concentration of a suite of pathogenic bacteria, viruses and parasites in the same test. Neil is a technology business executive with a 25-year track record in starting-up high tech entities, managing a $100 million high growth operation, commercializing first-of-a-kind technologies, raising equity and government funds, managing interdisciplinary teams, and negotiating intellectual property agreements.
Prior to Early Warning Neil participated on 20 diverse nanotechnology projects. As Partner-Nanotechnology at Sygertech Consulting Group he led a nanotechnology business consulting practice for early stage nanotechnology companies, multinationals, venture capitalists and government labs including the Taiwan Government’s Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). In parallel, he co-founded the Canadian NanoBusiness Alliance, an industry association to advocate for a Canadian National Nanotechnology Initiative and to develop nanotechnology business activities in Canada and internationally. He led the establishment of the world’s first high throughput NanoImprint Lithography Prototyping Center in collaboration with the National Research Council of Canada and EV Group. Neil has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from McGill University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.]]></description>
