I am a marketing communications pro with 26 years of marketing success. My specialty is copywriting for the B2B sector; specifically manufacturing (I also do work in other business segments). I enjoy words. This may seem a little old fashioned in today’s world of electronic communications. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

You see, words are the foundation for every marketing project. Video? You write copy for a script. Blogs? Copywriting there too. The same is true for podcasts, websites and of course, your traditional print marketing pieces.

Companies hire me for several reasons.
1. Budgetary constraints prevent hiring full-time staff even though there’s plenty of work
2. Related to #1, is the preference of some companies to gain the experience of a seasoned professional copywriter but using them only when there is a need. This saves on the cost of benefits and full-time employment. It also allows the company to get experience for what they might pay entry-level full-time staff.
3. Small and medium sized companies can’t afford to allocate time and staff to projects a copywriter (like me) could do in short order.
4. My knowledge and understanding is focused on business success. I know when to use the latest technology for the correct application(s), but emphasize time-tested direct marketing tactics that work regardless of the medium.
5. I spent several years selling a variety of business-to-business products. That's why I cringe when I see marketing communications that don't sell.
