Peter Coy is Economics Editor of BusinessWeek. He writes and edits stories on a wide range of economic issues, working closely with Chief Economist Michael J. Mandel.

Mr. Coy joined the magazine in December, 1989, as telecommunications editor. He became technology editor in October, 1992, and associate economics editor in January, 1997, before being named economics editor in 2001.

Before BusinessWeek he spent nine years at The Associated Press.
