Richard Kisembo, President & CEO of Kisembo & Co, is a seasoned fashion industry executive with a diversified skill set in international strategic business development, licensing, product development and sourcing. Mr. Kisembo founded Kisembo & Co in 2009. From April 2008 to February 2009, Mr. Kisembo served as Business Development Manager at Iconix Brand Group, one of the world’s largest licensor of brands, ranked 2nd in the 2009 License! Global Top 100 Global Licensors. In his role at Iconix, Mr. Kisembo was instrumental in formulating, implementing and deploying the company’s international strategy though Direct-To-Retail licensing alliances and joint venture partnerships in India, China, S.E Asia, Middle East, South Africa & Brazil. Prior to that, from April 2006 to April 2008, Mr. Kisembo served as the company’s Business Development Coordinator. Prior to Joining Iconix, Mr. Kisembo served a stint in Product Development at Tommy Hilfiger’s, Robes and Sleepwear Division, licensed to Russell Newman, a privately owned design, development, marketing and distribution company that specializes in Intimate Apparel.
