ROBERT DAYTON, MBA

Robert is a passionate knowledge worker with experience improving business performance by implementing enterprise information management solutions for Fortune 1000 companies. As an award-winning strategic thinker, consultant, manager and business developer, he has achieved consistent results: successful delivery of business value and ROI to clients. He is known for coupling a strong business acumen with technical expertise in conceptualizing business solutions.

Aligning technology with business strategies, he has demonstrated achievements in solution delivery, C-level sales, marketing and management. Effective in 'behind the eight-ball' situations, he has succeeded in big-company, early-stage and turnaround environments.

He has broad experience serving clients, crafting strategies and developing successful business relationships. Industry experience includes Energy, Retail, Financial Services, High Tech, Consumer Goods, Healthcare, Sports, Pharmaceuticals and Telecommunications. Robert has experience working with all facets of the modern day information technology and services enterprise - sales, marketing, consulting and development.

As an evangelist for the convergence of structured and unstructured content, which will drive Enterprise Information Management, Robert founded The Enterprise Technology Convergence Council. His goal and passion is to raise the standards of EIM through thoughtful technology convergence.

Well educated, he holds an MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, a BS in Petroleum Engineering and a BA in Technical Writing. Interests include real estate investing, integration of computer/video/audio gear, golf, collecting vinyl records, and mentoring youths in sports.

Robert was a pioneer and evangelist in OLAP, implementing and pontificating Arbor Essbase beginning in early '94. Earlier in his career, he was an Engineer at Halliburton, then a Technical Writer and Programmer at CA.
