Sally's working life began at Nat West Bank on its Management Development Programme. After a career break to start a family, she worked in fundraising for an international charity producing brochures, posters and direct marketing letters for regional fundraising campaigns.

From 2001 to 2007 she undertook a BA(Hon) degree in English Language and English Literature through the Open University. She graduated in 2007 with First Class Honours.

In her spare time, Sally is a volunteer wish granter with the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK.
