SHUVABRATA NANDI

Shuvabrata is currently working with the premier restructuring and advisory services firm, Alvarez and Marsal in their Mumbai office.

He received his Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Ahmedabad in 2010 and was ranked 22 overall among a batch-size of 280+ with a GPA of 3.299

In IIMA, Shuvabrata was a co-ordinator of the Private Equity & Venture Capital Student Interest Group. He interned with Barclays Capital in the summer of 2009 with G-10 Foreign Exchange Trading desk in Singapore and has received excellent acclaim for the work done across flow and structured business of the firm. He is keenly interested in a career in investments - specially alternative investments, and aspires to learn the pulse of each business or industry he has been associated with. Clean Tech specially Renewable Energy and Innovative ways of financing the roll-out of them is one area close to his heart. Global macroeconomic investment strategy is another area of interest to him.

By training, Shuvabrata is an Electrical Engineer; passed out of IIT Kharagpur in 2005 with the honour of bagging the best industry oriented B Tech Project from SRIC, IIT Kharagpur. In a career with L&T, spanning 21 months, he was responsible for setting up the Building Automation business vertical within the Building Electricals business of the engineering conglomerate. In his one year with ICICI Prudential Life, Shuvabrata handled the key metric of conservation / retention as part of the analytics team and received accolades for meeting the targets specified by the board of the company.

He is an enthusiastic follower of soccer, formula-1 and international economics & politics; and a voracious reader. He is also a regular investor in the Indian equity market.
