During my professional career, I've advanced from a real estate salesperson to a senior executive at the largest real estate company in the world largely through my ability to just "get things done". Whether it's purchasing a real estate office in my early twenties and quickly growing it to be recognized as the Rookie Office of the Year or more recently spearheading the transition of the largest real estate franchise deal ever, I'm inevitably positioned within an organization in a key role because of my ability to accomplish aggressive goals.
Three of my professional passions are operations, sales and technology. As employee #2 at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate (BHGRE), I was instrumental in developing the value proposition, product offering and launching the brand in 2008. In the first 36 months (in the worst real estate market in memory) BHGRE experienced unprecedented growth expanding to 27 franchisees with more than 7,000 agents, ranked 15th among the top 50 top franchise systems in the Franchise Business Review 2011 Franchisee Satisfaction Awards and won many awards for technology leadership around innovative uses of Facebook, iPhone apps, iPad integration, and franchisee-wide intranets within the real estate space.
For the next chapter of my professional career, I'm looking for a technology-oriented company that is seeking the talents of both an operations expert who can drive revenue through business development, as well as an innovator who can work with teams to deliver on aggressive goals.

I think real estate agents should have to move once every five years just to remember the stress and anxiety their clients are going through during the moving process. No matter how organized or how much pre planning you do, moving is stressful. Packing up one home, getting all that stuff to the new home and unpacking it there is bound to leave you exhausted.

I watched Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook on a TedTalk video discuss why we have too few females in technology. She theorized that one of the many reasons that their aren’t more women in technology is that as young girls we weren’t allowed or encouraged to play video games in the same way that boys are. Additionally, little boy brains tend to get more absorbed in “figuring” out the games than girls. That boys have a more natural curiosity to know how it works then girls do. Girls are fine to have fun playing the game. I’m obviously a huge Sheryl Sandberg fan and this talk really resonated with me.
