YITZCHAK BARUCH FISHEL
My experience both in hard copy and e*newspaper publishing has taught me that the matter at hand is really to provide the reader with significant information.
In many ways, this is also true when writing a novel. But the difference between literature and journalism lies between creating an informed public and/or providing them with a complete, inescapable artifice.
But the main thing is to make the public aware. That means the writer's job is to either provide facts in a palpable fashion or change the way the reader looks at the world he has experienced. In any case, if the job is done properly, it will further flavor any empirical approach to his surroundings as life goes on.
