Senate fiscal cliff bill retains mortgage cancellation relief, home-related tax benefits; House stalls for spending cuts

U.S. House of Representatives leaders initially voiced disapproval of the Senate’s bill because, they say, it doesn’t have enough spending cuts. Chances are, the House will amend the bill and send it back to the Senate or vote it down, forcing legislators to start over again, after pushing the nation over the fiscal cliff.
