Resume writing is an important skill in business whether you are seeking a promotion, changing careers, seeking financing or partnerships. To craft a strong resume you need to know how to capture and write about your unique selling propositions, understand and position key competencies, and sell your transferable experience -- challenges, actions, and results. There are three types of resumes appropriate for a variety of situations (and not so appropriate for others). It's important to understand each type and how they can effectively position you to win interviews against qualified competitors. Additionally, you need to know how to make your resume easy to scan and visually appealing to grab an employer's attention among the hundreds of other applicant’s resumes.
