The original name of the company was Starbucks Coffee, Tea and Spices. Its mission: "To establish Starbucks as the premier purveyor of the finest coffee in the world while maintaining our uncompromising principles as we grow." In fiscal 2007, revenues were $9.4 billion with operating income of $1.1 billion.
