America's Affordable Health Choices Act May Raise Medicare Part D Premiums

On August 28, 2009, the Congressional Budget Office reported that, as introduced, the America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009 (H.R. 3200) may lead to an average increase in Medicare Part D premiums of about 5 percent in 2011 and an increase of about 20 percent in 2019.
